THE OREA COMMUNITY

Thoughtful conversation.
Respect for privacy.

Your account information

OREA collects your name, email address, state of residence, and chosen username to create and manage your account. Your username appears publicly beside published comments. Your name, email, and state are available only to you and authorized administrators.

Authentication and community records are hosted through Supabase when the community service is activated. Passwords are handled by the authentication service using one-way password hashing. OREA administrators cannot read your password. Session information keeps you signed in within your browser tab; signing out removes that session from the tab.

Account registration is separate from newsletter signup. To request access to or deletion of your account information, contact [email protected]. Community data is retained while your account or comments remain in use, unless you request removal. Provider backup retention may delay final removal from backups.

Before you comment

Keep comments respectful and relevant to the article. Do not post identifying details about another person, confidential health information, harassment, advertisements, or spam. Comments and replies are reviewed before publication. Administrators may approve, hide, or remove contributions.

OREA is an educational publication. Comments are public conversations, not clinical appointments or private messages to a therapist. They are not monitored continuously. Visit Start Healing for support resources.

Replies and moderation

Signed-in readers can reply to published comments. Administrator replies carry an Administrator label. You can remove your own comments; this also removes replies beneath them.
